"Stuck" is an original, handbuilt ceramic box sculpted from stoneware clay. She measures 5.5" x 5.75" x 3.75". I colored her using watercolor underglazes. The inside of the box is also colored a light blue similar in color to her ponytail holders.
The words on top of and around her box body say "oh no! i am stuck in this box cuz of my pigtails?!!"
"Stuck" was inspired by the expectations of and labels for women and girls. The boxes into which we and society put ourselves.
